Cash Handling & Customer Service

What is it?

This course is designed to teach basic math, cash handling and customer service skills in a retail context. Ideal for anyone who handles money, the learner gains skills in how to use a cash register and interact with customers while processing payments. Learners will get hands-on practice giving change (including rounding now that the penny is gone), managing a float and taking payments on a real cash register.  Topics will include best practices as a Cashier, how to deal with common customer questions, time management and conflict resolution. Learners will complete the course with enhanced communication skills and increased confidence in processing sales transactions.

 

When is it happening?

 

Mondays and Wednesdays 1:00-3:00pm, September 12th through October 5th
