Intro to Computers

What is it?

​

This continuous intake course is designed so that learners can commence their studies at any point. Under the direction of an instructor, learners use workbooks to lead them through each unit covering the following topics: Basic Computer Skills, Internet & Social Media, Email, Microsoft Word 2016, Microsoft Excel 2016 and Microsoft PowerPoint 2016. Through practical activities and exercises, participants will be exposed to basic computer skills, internet etiquette and safety, creating email accounts and sending and receiving emails with attachments. They will also be able to use Microsoft Office programs to create documents, spreadsheets and short presentations. The Instructor will assist learners by ensuring they leave the course able to complete specific computer tasks based on their Goal Paths.

 

When is it happening?

Ongoing classes every Monday & Wednesday from 1:00pm to 2:30pm at the Huntsville YMCA Learning Services or online

OR

A condensed offering May 30th through July 6th on Mondays & Wednesdays from 1:00pm to 3:00pm located at the Agilec in Bracebridge or online
