Excel - Beyond the Basics

What is it?

This six class (three week) instructor-led class reviews basic Excel 2016 skills (which are covered in the Intro to Computers Class), and then will explore deeper into more advanced Excel skills. Participants will review working with spreadsheets and workbooks, formatting, editing and saving documents. The class will then focus on formulas, functions, data sorting, manipulating data, statistical functions, creating charts, graphs and tables, records management, and editing/finalizing worksheets. Students will complete the course with a deeper understanding of the capabilities of Microsoft Excel 2016 and how to use various templates to create impressive spreadsheets or create their own from scratch. This course is designed for the learner who wants a more thorough investigation into Excel, such as those who might like to use Excel 2016 in the workplace.
